A multi-billion dollar food manufacturer contacted Cardinal to develop a five-year strategic plan for a major division of the company.


Cardinal completed a comprehensive strategic assessment that culminated in a Strategic Opportunity Map that defined and prioritized projected revenues and margins to strengthen their business. The business analysis included primary and secondary research insights, deep analysis of customer and segment performance, products and contribution margins, differentiation/competitive strengths and business alignment with overall brand mission.

The project involved leadership across multiple disciplines within the organization as well as interactions with corporate board of directors to refine and initiate strategy.


The initiative yielded a long-term plan to leverage the client’s core competencies and achieve financial growth targets. The strategy was presented and adopted by the board of directors and executive management. It has been implemented and predictive results are being realized.
